grocery strikeTACOMA -- More than 4,000 Pierce County grocery workers will meet Wednesday to decide whether or not to strike in an effort to secure higher wages, health care and other benefits.

According to the Tacoma News Tribune, members of the Local 367 United Food and Commercial Workers were slated to meet throughout the day at the Landmark Convention Center in Tacoma. There, union members would cast ballots to authorize a strike against QFC, Fred Meyer, Albertsons and Safeway.
