Seattle brain cancer walk

SEATTLE - Cool and cloudy skies did not dampen the upbeat mood at Seattle's 6th annual Brain Cancer Walk Saturday morning.  The event which draws thousands annually brought out volunteers and families to walk and raise money for cancer research, clinical trials, advocacy and comprehensive care for brain cancer patients.  The walk took place at the Seattle Center's Next 50 Plaza.

Along with the Patient Survivor Tent and a display of photos of brain cancer survivors, the Walk incorporated entertainment along the route, with cheerleaders, musicians, dancers and a closing ceremony.  To date, the Walk has raised more than $2.5 million for medical research and other related programs.  For more information, visit www.braincancerwalk.org.
