Talk to a doc online, with Franciscan’s virtual care service

docNeed a doctor’s opinion, but don’t have time to visit a sit down clinic?

How about dialing up a “virtual doctor” on the web?

According to the Puget Sound Business Journal, the Tacoma-based Franciscan Health System is expanding its virtual urgent care service.  The service offers patients low-cost access to a doctor 24-hours-a-day by phone or video chat.

The health industry has been urged to cut costs and keep patients out of emergency rooms, unless absolutely necessary.  The virtual care service may be one way to do that.  Click on the link to read more about the Franciscan Health System’s new virtual urgent care service.
