Police looking for cough syrup thief

SEATTLE -- Police are looking for a man who recently stole some cough syrup from a local pharmacy.

Just before 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 5, a man walked into a Rite Aid on NE 8th St. and 35th Avenue NE and headed straight to the pharmacy counter. The suspect, who was wearing a bandana over his face, shouted that he had a gun.

A startled clerk ran out of the pharmacy, and the suspect jumped over the counter and grabbed some prescription cough syrup and then fled the store.

Police hope someone can identify the man from the surveillance video.  If you recognize him, call the Seattle Police Robbery Unit at 206-684-5535.
