Baby kidnapped in borrowed car dispute

TACOMA -- A 10-month-old boy was kidnapped from his Tacoma home Wednesday morning.

The News Tribune reports a woman was angry with the baby's mother for not returning a borrowed car, so she forced her way into her home and took the baby.

When a man staying in the house tried to stop her, police said she told him the woman could have her baby back when she returned the car.

Police were called and they tracked the baby to the alleged kidnapper's home in Federal Way. They detained the woman for questioning.

The boy was not hurt, and was turned over to his grandmother because officers could not locate his mother.
