TACOMA -- When lovebirds Earl and Eva Shadle attend the Washington State Fair this week, it will be their 71st and final time.

According to the News Tribune, the couple's first date was at the Puyallup Fair in 1941. They fell in love, married two years later, and haven't missed a fair since.

This summer, Eva turned 90 and Earl will turn 91 later this year.

"This will be the last one, I think," Eva told the paper. "I need a scooter to get around, Earl will use a wheelchair...That's enough."
