Stormy day, flood watch for Western Washington

SEATTLE -- Rain will be heavy at times today and we're getting thunderstorms throughout the day. The storminess intensifies this afternoon/evening and overnight into tomorrow morning.

A FLOOD WATCH has been posted for almost all of Western Washington. With areas of heavy rain, we could have urban and small stream flooding, so watch out for areas of standing water.

Also, there could be some landslides, especially on steep terrain and slopes. Tomorrow starts out wet, but showers taper off in the evening.  It'll be cooler, with highs in the upper 60s.  The weekend, we'll rebound nicely to more summery weather.

Saturday gets partly sunny, mid 70s.  Sunday through the middle of next week expect mostly sunny skies and temps back toward 80.
