Heavy rain Thursday night into Friday; possible urban flooding

SEATTLE -- The muggy weather continues through Saturday morning. Showers off-and-on through Saturday morning as well.

There will be a period of heavy rain late Thursday through Friday morning. The lowlands will get about an inch of rain and the foothills and mountains will get up to 4 inches. This will cause some standing water on the roadways early Friday. There is one other factor over the next three days and that is the threat of thunderstorms. They will be mainly confined to the foothills and mountains. There will be a few breaks from the rain Thursday before the heavy rain comes in and by Friday evening we will have less rainfall.

The weekend looks pretty nice, especially Sunday. Next week looks sunny and warm.
