TACOMA -- Instead of raising a glass to celebrate in Tacoma, people might soon be able to raise bongs and pot pipes.

According to The News Tribune, the City Council wants to change current code that bans pot smoking paraphernalia, now that marijuana is legal in the state.

Under existing code, selling or possessing devices used to inhale marijuana smoke can mean a $250 fine.

The items can also be seized by police.

The City Council is expected to finalize the proposed changes to its drug regulations at a meeting Sept. 10.
