ScionBELLEVUE, Wash. — A 24-year-old female driver died after a semi struck her disabled vehicle early Monday morning near the intersection of Interstate 90 and Interstate 405, the Washington State Patrol said.

The crash occurred shortly before 5 a.m. on southbound I-405 near Exit 11 at mile post 12. According to initial reports, Alea Price was driving a Scion that hit a deer, causing her to stop her car. The vehicle remained in the lanes of traffic when her car was rear-ended by a semi truck.

Price was pronounced dead by medics shortly after the crash. The driver of the semi was not injured.

The left three lanes of southbound I-405 near the crash were closed for 3-1/2 hours following the crash.

This story is leaving out that she made numerous calls to 911 and even her boyfriend, with the boyfriend arriving before troopers. Why a delayed response? Why didn’t 911 operators tell her to try to get the hell to the side of the road on foot? Had it been an “only one’s” daughter would the response have been the same?

"Why didn't 911 operators tell her to try to get the hell to the side of the road on foot?" Because some things should be obvious.

Sorry, but I thought everyone knew not to stop on the freeway. Granted her car was wrecked before the truck hit it, but she could have got it to the side of the road.

Most comments – invalid. If you can't pay attention to the road ahead of you, your inept ass doesn't deserve a drivers license or the right to drive. Period.
