Search for missing teen to resume

BONNEY LAKE, Wash. -- Search crews suspended their daylong search for a missing mentally challenged teen that was suspended Sunday at nightfall.

Crews are expected to resume the search for the girl in Bonney Lake at daybreak. Authorities said Maliika Andrus, 17, has been missing for nearly 24 hours. Andrus is reported to have the mental capacity of someone half her age and is not able to take care of herself for long periods of time.

She was last seen at a Bonney Lake group home at 6:20 a.m. Sunday. She escaped out of her bedroom window and is only wearing her pajamas. She relies on medication and authorities fear she might try to hurt herself.

Andrus was last seen wearing a black shirt and multi-colored pajama pants. If you see her, please call 911.
