Sammamish's Eastlake wins first game in Little League World Series

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. -- The 67th Annual Little League Baseball World Series began Thursday, and in the first round the Eastlake Little League All Stars from Sammamish took down Corpus Christi, Texas, 8-4.

After Eastlake took a 4-1 lead in the first inning, the Southwest team came back in the third with a three-run inning. The Northwest was up 5-4 in the fifth when they tacked on another fun followed by two in the sixth.

Eastlake advances to the winners-bracket and will play on Sunday at 11a.m. They'll face the winner of Nashville, Tenn., and Westport, Conn..
