CHICAGO -- Josh Ruggles of Wheaton Academy in West Chicago gained Internet acclaim over the weekend with a viral video showing him sinking 135 3-point shots (and missing only 12) in five minutes.

The 6-foot-1 junior, who won the IHSA's three-point shooting contest last March, set out to top the shooting performance by former WNBA player Laurie Koehn, who in May sank 132 3-pointers in five minutes.

With the help of an adept rebounder who immediately fed him a ball after each shot, Ruggles was able to average a 3-point basket every 2.2 seconds for the five minutes.
