A little cooler, still sunny

SEATTLE -- Today will be a lot like yesterday, but a couple of degrees cooler.

We're starting out with areas of fog and cloud, but it'll be sunny this afternoon, with highs in the low-to-mid 80s.

Yesterday Seattle hit 87, ten degrees above normal.  Tomorrow and Friday, pretty much the same -- morning clouds/fog, afternoon sun -- and a little cooler still -- low 80s to near 80.  The weekend will be even cooler, mid-to-upper 70s, with nice afternoon sun.  There is a good chance of mountain thunderstorms, and some of them could waft off into the lowlands of east King, Snohomish and Pierce Counties.

Monday & Tuesday look pleasant -- mostly sunny with highs near normal.

Smoky sunrise -- great color partially due to the fires in Eastern Washington last week. From Mike at Rainier Beach, Seattle.
