VIDEO: Girl lobbies to keep pet pygmy goats

SEATTLE -- Ava is taking her fight to keep her pet pygmy goats all the way to the top -- she plans to present her argument to keep her goats at a community meeting Tuesday evening.

The goats -- 3-year-old Lilly Pad and 6-month-old JuJu -- live with Ava and her parents in Federal Way. Ava, 12, says she's never had a complaint about the goats, but last week Animal Control showed up and told her that after receiving some written complaints, the goats must go.

Now, she's going to bring a PowerPoint presentation to the Federal Way City Council to show them that owning the goats is a positive experience and that they also make great pets. Ava hopes she can persuade councilmembers that anyone who wants to own two goats within city limits should be allowed to.
