Boeing 737 overshoots runway

NIIGATA, Japan -- Scary moments aboard a Korean Airlines flight in Japan. The Boeing 737-900 overran the landing strip at Niigata Airport.

Korean Airlines flight 763 departed Monday from Seoul's Incheon International Airport.

The plane came to a halt on a grassy area beyond the runway. One hundred and fifteen passengers and crew were on board. No reports of any injuries.

The aircraft was towed back to the tarmac. Authorities are investigating what caused the plane to overrun the landing strip. Nineteen flights were canceled following the incident.
