Seattle traffic getting worse

Most Seattle drivers know traffic here is bad, and now it's getting worse.

A new study from Kirkland-based Inrix shows Seattle traffic grew 22% in June compared to the same time a year ago.

That's well above the national level where traffic only increased by 8.3% from June of 2012 to June of 2013.

Overall, Seattle has the 8th worst traffic in the country.

Los Angeles takes the top spot for traffic congestion in the U.S., followed by Honolulu, San Francisco, Austin, New York and Bridgeport, Connecticut.
