Franklin has a pair of homeruns in the victory over Twins

SEATTLE -- The Mariners defeated the Twins 6-4 Sunday at Safeco Field.

Minnesota got on the board first thanks to Chris Colabello's two-run homer in the top of the second.

The Mariners responded an inning and a half later with a sacrifice fly hit by Kyle Seager to score Brad Miller.

Then, in the bottom of the fourth, the M's put up a pair of home runs to take the 5-2 lead.  First, Michael Saunders homered to right and four batters later Nick Franklin followed with a three-run home run to right.

In the top of the sixth, the Twins shrunk the M's lead to 5-4. Clete Thomas singled to center to score Ryan Doumit and moved Colabello to second. Colabello moved to third after a pop fly to center and scored off Aaron Hicks' sacrifice fly.

Nick Franklin gave the Mariner's their final score of the game with a home run to right in the bottom of the seventh.

The M's won the game 6-4.

Erasmo Ramirez picked up the win on the mound for Seattle, while Tom Wilhelmsen got the save. Twin's Kyle Gibson recorded the loss.
