Concerns raised over 58-year-old Fox Island Bridge

FOX ISLAND, Wash. -- The Fox Island Bridge is used by nearly 6,500 drivers a day, but inspectors say it needs to be fixed.

Built in 1954, the bridge between Fox Island and the Gig Harbor peninsula is 1,950 feet, the longest bridge owned by Pierce County and one of the busiest.

It's been a workhorse over the decades, but now, like so many other bridges, it has problems.
