Man arrested for alleged sexual assault on Capitol Hill

SEATTLE -- A 20-year-old man has been arrested for an alleged sexual assault on Capitol Hill Sunday night.

Police said officers were driving through an alley near 12th Avenue and East Olive Street at about 10:30 p.m. Sunday when they noticed two men walking through a nearby parking lot.

After the men walked past, police said, a woman ran out of the parking lot and said she had been sexually assaulted by one of the men. The woman told officers she met up with the two men near 12th Avenue and East Olive and accompanied them into an ally, where she said one man attacked her.

The officers found the suspect about a block away, and after the alleged victim identified him, he was booked into the King County Jail for investigation of rape.

The case is still under investigation.
