SEATTLE — Two men were arrested Monday in connection with the gangland-style slaying of one man sitting in a parked car in Seattle’s Eastlake neighborhood and the wounding of another man in the same vehicle.

According to police, three people in a car stopped at a local mini-mart near Eastlake Avenue East and East Lynn Street at about 12 a.m. The driver of the car let one passenger out at the Eastlake Market and pulled into the alley behind the store and parked in the 2200 block of Franklin Avenue East.

While they waited, a gunman in a hooded sweatshirt walked up to the car and fired on both men in the car, police said. A man in his 20s was killed at the scene and another man in his 20s was taken to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Shortly after the shooting, police were searching the area for a suspect vehicle observed fleeing the murder scene at a high rate of speed.  The officers stopped a vehicle matching the vehicle’s description and arrested the two men in their 20s.  A gun was also recovered from the vehicle, police said.

Both suspects were booked into the King County Jail for investigation of murder.  Police said no other suspects are being sought in the case.
