Hiker suffering broken leg airlifted from Snoqualmie Pass

KING COUNTY - A man had to be rescued late Thursday night near Snoqualmie Pass after breaking his leg while he was hiking.

The King County Search and Rescue team got a call of a subject who had been injured while hiking near Silver Peak. A Navy helicopter was deployed, as well as a ground team of about 30 volunteers.

The injured hiker was airlifted from the scene and was taken to Harborview Medical Center.

The rest of the hiker's party was escorted down the mountain by search and rescue volunteers.
