SEATTLE — This is summer at its best. Temperatures through the weekend will be around 80 degrees (a little cooler at the beach). This is an unusual summer with warmer than normal days and plenty of sunshine. In fact, the blackberries are out a month ahead of schedule. (The earliest I’ve seen them in the 16 years I’ve been here).
A funny note from the other night: The thunderstorms brought rain to some places and not to others. Sea-Tac, the official weather observation spot for Seattle picked up no rainfall. So that means Seattle has gone 21 days without rain. Enjoy your warm, summer weekend. Walter, 7/18/13
