Hot days ahead

SEATTLE -- Summer heat continues for the long haul. Most days will be sunny and warm through Sunday, and it will be breezy too.

There is a little piece of energy swinging by Tuesday night into Wednesday morning that will fire off a few thunderstorms, mainly near the mountains. For most of us we will just notice the muggy weather and the heat, with highs Tuesday near 90, near 80 on Wednesday and Thursday through Sunday it will be in the 80s.

We have gone 18 days in a row without rain and it looks like at least another seven to 10 days without rain (probably longer). Today also marks the 14th day above 80 degrees this year. We average 24 days above 80. Walter. 7/15/13
