Dog wounded in drive-by shooting

GRANITE FALLS -- A Pomeranian was shot in the side in a drive-by shooting in Granite Falls Wednesday, according to animal rescue group Pasado's Safe Haven.  They talked to an eyewitness who saw an economy car pull up, roll down the window, and fire a pellet or BB gun at the small dog.   The family heard him yelping and ran outside.  They say they're now scared to let their children play outside.

The dog, Bear, is recovering at Pasado's clinic.  Veterinarians say he may have spinal damage from the shooting and that the BB remains lodged next to his spine.  They say if it moves, he could be paralyzed.

Pasado's is offering a $1,000 dollar reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons who committed this crime.  Tips should be reported to 206-300-7218.
