Clouds to sunshine in Seattle

SEATTLE -- Looks like a nice day today-- but it will take a bit of patience if you're a sun-lover.
Lots of morning clouds, gradual clearing to afternoon sunshine. If you like this pattern of clouds to sun-- you're in luck. It will be with us for the next few days. High temps: 70-75 Seattle/Puget Sound this afternoon. Normal for this time of year is 75-- and the record for today at SeaTac is 98 set back in 2007.

Lots of great things going on this weekend-- the STP ride looks like nice and dry weather for the thousands of riders taking part in the annual Seattle to Portland bike ride. If you're doing the self guided Seattle Tilth Garden and Chicken Coop tour-- also, some great weather. and the Mississippi Street Fair also looks great for Saturday.

We'll warm things up for the second half of the weekend and the beginning of next week. Add about 10 degrees to where you are today for next Monday's high temps.

We haven't seen rain at SeaTac since June 27th and none is in the forecast at all for the next week. Some of the longer range forecast models call for no rain until July 23rd for Seattle. Enjoy!
