Rescuers respond to potential drowning near Darrington



SEATTLE -- About 2:08 p.m. Friday, the Skagit County Sheriff's Office received a call about a potential drowning in Darrington. The call was made on a cell phone and that is all the information dispatch received before the call was dropped.

The coordinates of the cell phone show the call was made in the area of 45200 Sauk Road in Darrington. There was no answer when the number was called.

Snohomishi County deputies and rescuers responded to the scene. More information will be posted here as it becomes available.
