SEATTLE — The weather is looking quite perfect for today. While you might scoff at the morning clouds– it’s those clouds that will help keep our afternoon temperature in the absolutely perfectly pleasant mid-70s for this afternoon. Normal high is 74 for this time of year for Seattle– I’m forecasting 76 for a high this afternoon around the region.
Still looking dry for the next 7-10 days– and we haven’t seen any rain at all since July started at SeaTac. This isn’t all that unusual. July is typically a very dry month historically here in Western Washington.
Extreme fire danger for Central Washington and Oregon. A red flag warning is in place through the weekend due to breezy conditions, warm temps and tinder dry conditions. Be careful with fire and fireworks. This includes cigarette butts– tossing them out of a car window is a big no-no.
Tonight things look great for fireworks celebrations. Mostly clear skies, temps in the mid to low 60s when things get fully dark around 10pm. A light jacket a good idea. Enjoy and make sure to have a happy and safe holiday.
