Keeping it in the family -- 2 brothers plead guilty to burglary, ask to serve time together

SEATTLE -- Two Spokane brothers who pleaded guilty to a string of home burglaries not only committed their crimes together, they also requested they serve their time together, the Spokesman Review reported.

The paper said that Donald G. Myhren, 31, and Dustin J. Myhren, 27, broke into a number of homes in Spokane County and stole thousands of dollars worth of jewelry, a firearm and other items. Authorities said on two occasions, the pair also threatened homeowners with weapons.

The two started their crime spree in January 2012, according to the Spokesman Review. At the time they started plotting their crimes, Donald was already in jail waiting to be sentenced on a residential burglary conviction. When he bailed out, he and his brother started their spree.
