Missing teen hikers found, but hungry

SNOHOMISH COUNTY -- Two teenagers who went missing near Mason Lake in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness Area were found Tuesday morning.

Ricardo Perez, 18, and Brian Chim, 19, were airlifted  by a King County Sheriff's Office helicopter to Bandera Air Field after being spotted early in the morning.

Both teens appeared in satisfactory condition, but were hungry. Officials said they were found seven miles from the flat river trail head where they departed.

Perez and Chim were reported lost late Sunday following a hike in the wilderness area. They were reportedly inexperienced hikers.
