Heat wave takes over

The heat wave has begun across the state. Tomorrow will have highs hitting the upper 80s and into the lower 90s in some places, but Monday and Tuesday will be hotter still. We have a couple areas of high pressure working to keep skies clear yielding much access to the sunshine. Meanwhile, a thermal trough riding along the coast will add that extra “sizzle” pumping even warmer air into the state. Eastern Washington remains under a heat advisory for now, so temperatures there will be even warmer than ours. By Wednesday, temperatures “ease” back into the mid-80s setting the stage for a warm, but dry 4th of July.
