Patty Murray, Female Senators Hold News Conf. On Planned Parenthood AmendmentSEATTLE — Sen. Patty Murray is working to limit the U.S. Border Patrol’s authority on public and private land near the Canadian border.

According to the Seattle Weekly, Murray is pushing an amendment that would “shrink” the Constitution-free zone surrounding international boundaries.

The Weekly reports that Border Patrol searches have been especially rampant on the Olympic Peninsula, where immigrant families are frequent targets.
