Yummy! Osprey gives WSDOT camera a show

SEATTLE -- An osprey living near Lake Washington gave morning commuters checking the traffic over the Interstate 90 bridge quite the show Monday.

The osprey, with a white head and sharp talons, pulled apart a small fish directly in front of a WSDOT traffic camera. The bird took off, and a crow came in to pick up the pieces.

Ospreys frequently nest near large bodies of water. It is the second most widely distributed raptor species after the Peregrine Falcon.
