LAVERTON, Australia (CNN/Seven Network) — An alleged drunken driver crashed into a restaurant, hitting people he had sat next to moments before.
The driver lost control of his bread van and crashed through the shopfront, knocking the patrons off their chairs and pinning some against a wall.
Three suffered only minor injuries.
Earlier, the driver had been eating just a few tables away from those he hit. Police said the 57-year-old, who wasn’t injured, had an alcohol limit almost four times the legal limit.
