Police seek vehicle information in investigation of 15-year-old's murder

SEATTLE -- The Snohomish County Sheriff's Office Major Crimes Unit issued a statement seeking the public's help in locating a vehicle that may have been involved in the June 2 drive-by shooting that killed Molly Conley.

Conley, 15, was walking with a group of friends in Lake Stevens when she was struck by a bullet from a car.

Detectives said the vehicle they are looking for would have been in the area near where Conley was killed between 9 p.m. June 1 and 6 a.m. June 2. The vehicle they are looking for is a black passenger vehicle that may have front, passenger side damage. The police are asking that anyone that may have video of vehicles traveling in the area at that time contact them.

Police said that the vehicle may have been involved in other shootings that were reported around the same time that Conely was shot.
