Sketch released of man suspected of attempting to lure 14-year-old girl

SEATTLE -- The Bonney Lake Police Department released a sketch of a man suspected of attempting to lure a 14-year-old girl on June 13.

Police said about 6:30 a.m that morning the girl was on her way to the bus stop on Angeline Road near Woodbriar Village when a man in a van kept driving by, making her nervous. She told police the van pulled up next to her and the driver said, “I’m going to get you.” The girl then ran away.

Bonney Lake police officer Daron Wolschleger said, “She turned around and ran, which is the right thing to do, and went and hid behind a tree and made a phone call for somebody to come get her.”

Police said the van is deep red in color, was in good condition and may have tinted windows. The suspect is described as a white male in his 40s or 50s with blue or green eyes. He is heavyset with light facial hair and a pale complexion. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a gray hoodie sweatshirt.
