Police shoot, kill man who allegedly refused to drop gun

policebadgeLAKEWOOD, Wash. — Police shot and killed a man who allegedly refused to come out of a home and pulled a gun on police Tuesday night.

According to the Lakewood Police Department, officers received a call around 9 p.m. that a man wanted for felony theft was spotted in the 14900 block of Washington Avenue SW. Officers responded to the scene but could not immediately find the suspect.

However, police said around 11:15 p.m. they spotted a broken front window of a home and saw the suspect inside. Police allegedly approached the home and gave commands for the man to exit. The man allegedly refused to come out and pulled out a handgun, and police shot and killed him.

The man’s name and identity were not immediately released.

The two officers involved in the incident were put on paid administrative leave. Police are investigating the incident.

      and how would you feel if this was someone you loved that was your family ? he's in mine and your comment is hurtful and thoughtless to those who are left behind and have no words to decribe how it feels..sometimes in life you must really think before we speak..may you never have to feel what we feel at this moment and then read such thoughless comments
