Local company creates smart socks
REDMOND – A local start-up is creating smart socks, designed to help users get fit.
Redmond-based “Heapsylon” is unveiling the $150 ‘Sensoria.’
Sensoria socks have censors built into the fabric that can sense pressure on the feet and analyze exercise patterns. They can even tell when people are doing a particular exercise incorrectly, in real time. The socks send the data to a smartphone via Bluetooth, so users can correct themselves immediately.
Just because the socks have the sensors doesn’t mean they can’t get wet. These socks can be put in the washer.
The socks expected to hit the market next year.
