OCEAN SHORES, Wash. — A police came upon a big surprise Thursday morning while patrolling a Washington beach.

According to local radio station KXRO, the police officer found a dead whale on a beach about four miles north of Ocean Shores. The whale — most likely a blue whale — is 53 feet long.
