Seattle, WA---

Aaron Harang threw a two-hit shutout to win 4-0 at Safeco Field, extending the Astros’ losing streak to a season high-tying six games.

Astros righthander Bud Norris was solid while holding the Mariners to three runs on five hits and one walk with one wild pitch and one home run over seven innings, but it wasn’t enough.

Harang (3-6) made drastic improvements after giving up six runs over 2 1/3 innings against the Yankees on Thursday.

Endy Chavez led off the first with a double to right, taking third when shortstop Ronny Cedeno let Trevor Crowe’s throw skip by him for an error. Norris retired the next two batters, but he uncorked a wild pitch to Raul Ibanez to let Chavez score from third.

Raul Ibanez hit his 13th home run of the season in the sixth inning.
