26-year-old Seattle man dies of injuries from accident near Roy

ROY -- A 26-year-old Seattle man who was a passenger in a car that hit a tree near Roy early Sunday died later of his injuries, the Washington State Patrol reported, according to The Olympian

Beau A. Dawson died of his injuries at St. Joseph Medical Center.

The State Patrol said that at about 3:45 a.m. Sunday, Joshua Brake, 22, of Toledo, was driving northbound on state Route 507 when his vehicle left the road and hit a tree.

Brake was later taken to Madigan Army Medical Center; and Dawson and Anthony Hill, 22, of Olympia, were taken to St. Joseph Medical Center.

The conditions of the two surviving men were not immediately known.

According to The Olympian, the State Patrol said driving under the influence and speed were thought to be contributing factors to the accident.
