Growing concern in Everett where higher levels of contamination have been found at the former Kimberly-Clark mill site, according to The Everett Herald.

The newspaper says arsenic and other heavy metals have been found in ground up concrete at the 66-acre site.

Kimberly-Clark and state officials told Everett city leaders this week that the clean-up will take a little longer but that future development on the site won't have to be limited to just industrial uses, according to the paper.

Some 700 people lost their jobs when the mill closed in April of 2012.
