A Benton County florist shop owner is fighting back after refusing to provide flowers for a gay couple’s wedding.

The owner of Arlene’s Flowers in Richland filed a counter suit against state Attorney General Bob Ferguson who sued her last month for violating the state’s anti-discrimination law, according to the Seattle Times.

The newspaper says the counter suit was filed by an anti-gay marriage group called Alliance Defending Freedom.

They allege the AG’s lawsuit is a violation of her freedoms under the state constitution.

Barronelle Stutzman said she wouldn’t sell the arrangements to Curt Freed and Robert Ingersoll because of her “religious beliefs.”

Last month, the ACLU also filed a suit seeing a court order that would bar Arlene’s Flowers from discriminating against customers because of sexual orientation.

Seriously… gay people are wrong. No hiding behind religion. They are all just messed up in the head. End of story.

One wonders how this will be viewed. Is it a case of religious freedom? Or could it be blatant discrimination?

Well shucks, lets just get rid of ALL our modern civil rights laws! That way restaurants can kick out Gay people, business owners can fire Muslim employees, landlords can refuse to rent to Blacks, and the only reason they need is, "It's against my principles" or "It's against my religious beliefs." Let's just get rid of the U.S. Civil Rights Act of 1964, because obviously personal prejudice trumps the whole concept of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, and obviously bigotry is part of what "American Exceptionalism" is all about!
