NEW YORK -- Felix Hernandez was on the mound as the Seattle Mariners faced off with the New York Yankees Tuesday in game 1 of a 3-game series. The King would last 6 innings, allowing only 1 run and striking out 8.

Kyle Seager would get the Mariners on the board first with an RBI double in the 3rd inning. Michael Saunders scores. Raul Ibanez adds to the lead in the 6th with a two-run home run, giving Seattle the 3-0 lead.

But the Yankees make a come back in the 7th as Robinson Cano ties it at 3 apiece with the 2-run double. A sac-fly later in the inning would secure the 4-3 win for the Yankees.
