Marine push brings clouds, cooler temps

SEATTLE — After record-breaking heat yesterday — Sea-Tac topped out at 87, breaking the previous record of 79 set back in 1957 — clouds have invaded this morning with the marine push. The cloulds should clear mostly away this afternoon for another lovely afternoon with temps in the more comfortable range — low-to-mid 70s.

The rest of the work week will still be quite pleasant as our ridge of high pressure re-exerts itself. Expect variations on this theme: morning clouds with afternoon clearing and highs in the mid 70s.

Normal this time of year is 63, so we’re well above normal, just not as hot  Saturday, clouds increase.  Rain looks like it will return in time for Mother’s Day, along with temps cooling off to the 60s again.  Showers continue into next Monday.
