Ethiopian Airlines 787 Dreamliners resume serivce

Ethiopian Airlines resumed 787 Dreamliner service with a flight from Addis Ababa to Nairobi on Saturday.  In a press release from the Boeing Company, Ethiopian Airlines flight 801 was the first flight of any Boeing 787 since the the FAA certified the aircraft to fly.   Boeing had proposed solutions to the 787 battery issues which the FAA approved last week.  "We would like to thank Ethiopian Airlines for the patience, support and leadership shown throughout the period that the 787 Dreamliner has been grounded, said Ray Conner, Preisdent and CEO of Boeing Commercial Airplanes. Ethiopian is the first African and the third airline in the world to own and operate the Dreamliner, Boeing said.
