3 accused of selling joints, pot brownies out of house to middle schoolers

SEATTLE — Three people accused of selling pot out of the back of their home to neighboring high school and middle school students were arrested by police Wednesday morning.

Seattle police arrested a 50-year-old man at his work and a man and women, both 21 years old, at the residence in the 6700 block of 15th Avenue NW. Police allegedly found pot, pot brownies, a marijuana grow operation, four shotguns, six handguns and more than $4,500 at the home.

Police began investigating the home after receiving complaints that school-aged children from Ballard High School and Whitman Middle School were buying pot from the owners. Seattle Police SWAT officers, narcotics detectives and North Precinct patrol officers participated in the raid.

The three suspects were booked into the King County Jail for investigation of Violation of the Uniform controlled Substances Act.

Three other people at the house were interviewed and then released. Officials at Ballard High School and Whitman Middle School were notified that students were seen entering and leaving the house prior to the arrests.
