Brittney
Way too many fatalities on those windy roads. This is such a tragedy! My prayers go out to the family, friends, classmates, and the entire Summit Lake community.

You guys are extremely harsh and rude! That is someone's daughter. There is no reason to jump to such conclusions. Whatever happened….that poor girl paid for it wither life. You all should be ashamed of yourselves!
Localperson
You are Right none of those above were what happened
Localperson
She was on her way to school with her father behind her who witnessed the whole thing she was not drunk/ drugs the road most likely was slick ! Before you Judge her Go drive that road in the early morning !
Friend of Family
I know this family and drugs/alcohol were certainly not involved. Have respect for the families before you post horrible things about people you don't even know.

As someone who lost a teeneage son I am appalled at the insensitivity of some of these posts. I live and drive this road daily. It is treacherous even under the best of conditions. As for kitten and arsenic………your lack of compassion and politeness are disheartening. Just remmeber…carma is a bitch! What goes around comes around and you will get it in spades I am sure.
So sad
The rude and thoughtless comments are all too common these days. It is unfortunate, however very real. People jump to judge and make conclusions before they even know the facts. This poor girl lost her life today, and a family lost their child and all people can say are insensitive vile remarks. I hope you never lose a loved one in such a tragic way, and if you do, I certainly hope you don't meet with the same harsh judgmental attitudes. Perhaps this is reason our world is so messed up, it is filling up with heartless people. I pray for this family that they are able to find comfort after such a tragedy.
Jimmy
You have to wonder what purpose these commenting sections serve. The comments are mostly rude remarks day after day.

So I suppose there is only one socially acceptable opinion here. I stand by my (vanishing) comments and hope someday free speech will be as much.

We all have the right to free speech . Sometimes people forget others are entitled to their opinions as long as they aren't rude or in poor taste. The officer did say she was speeding, slick roads or not. Texting is always a possibilty. Any factor other than the speeding we will probably never know. But it is to bad that a young person died. Prayers for the family and friends of a beautiful young woman
Emme
This is very hard on the first responders also… I know the coroner that went on this call….very, very hard on them see a young person life over by just not paying attention or doing something wrong at the wrong time…… now her poor family will no longer see her smile… :-(
BandV
You have no idea if she did anything wrong. Stop with the stupid assumptions.
Emme
Was that for me ???? Stupid assumptions ? I know what happened…..
dan
kids they don't know how to drive yet if you text and drive or going to fast i don't fill sorry for u dumb ass kids life goes on
Larry
well there is at least one thing she did wrong!!!!! driving way to fast for that road… to fast and very little experience driving… I feel bad for the family… but it was her own fault… there is no one else to blame…
Mike
No one said there was someone else to blame you asshole. You people are scumbags and karma is real and can be amazing or really bad. Remember that. And to the guy saying I guess there is only one opinion allowed here or valid. No one is saying that. What the are saying is don't have an opinion at all. There are no room for opinions on a comment section of a death article. You wait till the results come back and the investigation is done like the other people people on here that sre pissed at you are. Then if you want to post insensitive opinions on the official cause that's up to you. If you don't like it don't post here. Sure there is freedom of speech but that doesn't mean you use it every chance you have. There's also something called morals, decency, and acting like a normal human being. If your sister or daughter died you know dam well you'd be outraged at people assuming the worst about her. Have a heart.
