SEATTLE -- A fundraising page has been set up to help with the medical costs for the mother and baby who were hit by a pickup truck and critically injured in north Seattle Monday.

Karina Schulte and her 10-day-old baby son, Elias Schulte, were still in critical condition at Harborview Medical Center. Karina's father-in-law and mother-in-law were killed in the same accident.

"This fundraising page is being created for our friends who recently were involved in a car accident in their hometown of Seattle," the page reads. "The two were out on a walk with Dan's parents when they were struck by a car and suspected drunk driver. It is with a heavy heart that we have to share that Dan's parents did not make it. However, mom and baby are in the hospital and still in critical condition.

"We are sending our thoughts and prayers, but also have the opportunity to share what we can in this trying time. We are trying to raise at least $2,500 to help support this family with medical expenses in their unfortunate and unforeseeable situation," it said.
