Chihuahua saves girl from pit bull attack

BRITISH COLUMBIA, Canada — A chihuahua named ‘Honey’ is being credited for saving the life of a little girl  who was viciously attacked by a pit bull.

Eight-year-old Jenna was picking up golf balls when a pit bull burst through a gate, clamping onto Jenna’s head.

That’s when Honey jumped into action.

The chihuahua barked and distracted the pit bull long enough for Jenna to be rescued.

She needed more than 100 stitches for a gash across her forehead, and her eyelid was injured, too. But doctors say it could have been much worse had it not been for her dog Honey.
